Debra Pearce-McCall

Senior Consultant and Coach
Psychologist, Consultant & Educator

Debra Pearce-McCall, PhD, is a Psychologist, Consultant, and “Mind Coach”, who expands perspectives, connections, and capacities in her clients and audiences. A lifelong student of the mind and brain, communication, and the process of change, she brings a wide-ranging and integrated knowledge base to private consultations and customized meetings for teams and organizations. Debra is known for her impact, enthusiasm, and ability to translate wisdom from the science of being human into everyday experiences and action plans - sparking curiosity, mind shifts, and sustainable transformations.

Debra consulted to and participated in the inaugural Conversational Intelligence® for Coaches Certification program. She continues to co-create with Judith E. Glaser on a variety of projects, extending the powerful ideas of C-IQ. In addition to that certification, she is also a HeartMath® Certified Trainer, Certified in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), and a Member of the Right Use of Power Guild. For decades, Debra has been licensed as a Psychologist and as a Relationship Therapist, as well as supervising and training others.

Debra provides leadership, life, and relational coaching to executives interested in maximizing their leadership potential, their mind and relating skills, and their organization’s triple bottom line. She also consults with leaders, coaches, healthcare professionals, and educators who want to bring mindful presence and applied relational neuroscience into their mentoring work with others. Her services are available at distance and in person.

In addition to her years of experience as a clinician and educator, Debra’s work as a corporate executive, business partner, and leadership consultant gives her a deep understanding about how qualities of our minds and relationships intersect with positive spirals of resilience and growth, and how to catalyze these patterns across many levels of human systems, from brains to businesses. Since 2005, she’s been bringing the cutting-edge integrative and interdisciplinary framework of IPNB to the workplace - creating workshops, webinars, and classes on leadership and ethics; consulting with leaders and coaches; speaking and writing. Her article summarizing this approach, Mindsight at Work: An interpersonal neurobiology lens on leadership, was co-authored with Daniel J. Siegel, MD, one of the originators of the field of IPNB.

Part of the core team who founded and built GAINS, the Global Association for Interpersonal Neurobiology Studies, Debra recently finished serving as President and continues to edit and write for their publications. She is author and co-author of numerous articles in academic journals, professional publications, and online blogs, and several book chapters. She was a core creator of the first academic certificate program in IPNB, now housed at PCC Institute for Healthcare Professionals, where she teaches her specialty, the everyday ethical applications of the science of our relating minds and brains – to power, compassion, well-being, and wisdom.
