Based in Sydney, Australia, Yvonne Coburn is an experienced human resource professional with a background in the delivery of executive leadership programs designed to achieve cultural transformation for client organisations, and in providing those services she encourages the application of the principles of Conversational Intelligence.
Yvonne has worked and continues to work from time to time for Melbourne Business School as a feedback facilitator in executive education programs focussing on leadership and management (with emphasis on applied leadership in the workplace). Yvonne is on the coaching panel for the Victorian Leadership Academy for the Victorian Public Sector Commission and regularly coaches senior executives across departments.
Yvonne has also participated in delivering executive coaching at leadership programs for Leadership Victoria, an organisation that provides leadership consulting services to the government, semi government and not for profit sectors in Australia. She was instrumental in the development of their Women in Leadership Program and recently coached and presented on that program.

Career Background
Yvonne’s varied career experience qualifies her with a deep understanding of a range of industry sectors. That experience has included a period as a lawyer in private practice, a senior manager in human resources for a large law firm (now Herbert Smith Freehills), a period as a consultant with Morgan & Banks, a founder of Crowe Legal (a recruitment firm), experience as an Executive Search Consultant with A T Kearney & Associates, working as an executive and later advisory board member of Emissary Partners, service on a number of charity and pro bono boards (for example, Moriah College and Woodleigh School), service as a government appointee to the board of the Bondi Baths Trust, and serving as an elected Councillor on Waverley Council in Sydney.
Yvonne was a regular contributor for a number of years to the Australian Newspaper with her column called “Legal Affairs”. She regularly commented on gender related issues in management and leadership.
Qualifications and Training
Yvonne holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws (UNSW) and a Master of Laws (International Law) (UNSW). She has completed a Graduate Diploma from the John F Kennedy School of Government, entitled “Leadership for the 21st Century”.
She has a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology.
Yvonne is accredited to deliver a range of psychometric instruments. These include MBTI, FIRO B, Benchmarks/Skill scope 360 Learning by Design, Genos Emotional Intelligence, Management Research Group Leadership Effectiveness Analysis, Conversational Intelligence, Strategic Leadership Management, Korn/Ferry Talent Q and the I4 About My Brain Instrument.
